About Me
I was born in Bulawayo, Rhodesia—now Zimbabwe—on September 28, 1958.
Music became an important part of my life while growing up there. In the mid-1970s, I moved to Cape Town, South Africa, where I completed my schooling.
After working in the optical manufacturing business, I decided in 1978 to give music a serious try. I began playing with various bands and musicians, starting a musical journey that would continue for decades.
In April 1979, I packed up and moved to Israel. Six months later, I left for London, England, before eventually returning to Cape Town.
Throughout the 1980s, music remained a constant part of my life. I continued playing, rehearsing and recording with various South African bands and musicians until April 1989, when I left South Africa and emigrated to Canada.
Toronto has been my home ever since—and music has never stopped being part of my life.
